Week 3, or is it 4?

I've already lost track......but I think it's week 3. Last weekend was a bummer and I was really feeling it during the beginning of the week. Everything bad that I ate was just weighing me down and I had hardly any energy. I went down one morning to run on the treadmill and it wasn't hooked up anymore......the cord isn't long enough so we need an extension cords due to the lack of outlets down there. I didn't feel like digging one up or moving the treadmill so I didn't run. Then I was really dizzy for 2 days and then the sickness that Allie had hit me hard. Luckily that only lasted 24 hours (it is still looking to have some affect on her......she's just laying around and seems to have no energy). Anyway, so I had gained over Easter weekend and I'm back to what I was before that so it's, again, a total loss of 6 pounds.

Frustrated

I was doing so good! I weighed myself Friday morning and I was down another 3 lbs for a total loss of 6 so far..........then Easter weekend comes along and I'm surrounded by tons of good food and drink. I was horrible -donuts for breakfast, nachos at the bowling alley, tons of sweets and pop on Easter.....now that 6 lbs is back on. I'm so frustrated and upset with myself. I should have known that this would happen with the recent episode on the Biggest Loser. If I don't stop eating that stuff it's never going to come off. I just don't get it.........I used to be skinny and eat whatever I wanted and never gained a pound and now it packs on sooooo quickly. I just need to figure this out and get my mind set to do this right. So Frustrating!!

Just Pondering

I've been trying to figure out how I lost those 3 lbs in the 2 weeks when I wasn't working out. Yeah, I was eating better and that could have contributed. But I also noticed today that I weighed more this morning after I firt woke up than when I weighed myself after lunch???? So......here's what I'm thinking: It's all about the BREAKFAST!! You always here that breakfast is the most important meal and I'm really starting to believe it. I usually NEVER eat breakfast. I just usually never feel like eating and breakfast foods aren't that appealing to me. While we were in Idaho I ate breakfast everyday. I don't know if it was the time change or if it was just because I was eating less at night (probably both) but I was always hungry in the morning and I was up for just about anything. It probably helped that my mother in law was there to cook for me and there was a plethera of cereal to choose from! But anyway, I have noticed that if I eat less at night that I am hungry in the morning and it helps me with eating my breakfast.....which hopefully will help my metabolism!

Update on everything: I'm still at the same weight, but it's only been a few days. The family went on a 4 1/2 mile bike ride on Saturday so I got some fun exercise in. The girls loved it! It was windy though so now the girls have runny noses and I have a scratchy throat. We also went on a walk on Sunday.
That's it for now!

IT'S BEEN AWHILE.....

....Since my last post.....or workout. With summer quickly approaching and little or no progress since Novemeber I've decided to put things into high gear. We bought a treadmill the day before we left for Idaho. It's finally made it's place in the basement and is set up and ready to go. I plan to have daily runs on it..unfortunately I haven't done it yet. Today I officially started by going to the church gym with a couple other gals in the ward and we played basketball. I am sooo out of shape, but it was so much fun. I just got the regular color back to my face and it has been 3 hours since I played! I have been trying to watch my portions (which is hard if something is REALLY good) and just eating healthier in general. In the past 2 weeks I've lost 3 pounds......without any workouts. Hopefully they will start falling off quicker now. I know I won't be anywhere near where I would like to be by summer, but better late than never.
