So, I still am not "seeing" any changes BUT the numbers don't lie! I had to post this great news. I just weighed and measured myself and I've LOST 7 pounds and 3 1/2 inches around the waist!!!!! I couldn't be more excited and proud of myself. Last week was rough too with lots of stress and therefore some binge eating/drinking....so that's why I'm ultra excited.
I think I need to start taking some pictures of myself so I can see these little changes and not get so frustrated that nothing is happening, when it actually is!

Progress
Just a quick update. I've continued to workout everyday. Not as much as I planned. I've done the 30 day Shred the past two days. Yesterday I kept thinking "when is this going to end?" It really exhausted me. Today went by quick though. It's crazy how quickly your body can condition itself.
No shakes today! Didn't get the blender washed.......it was a bad day too because I had a lot to get done so I never got around to eating breakfast and was starving by the time lunch came around. So.....I just stopped at Chipotle for a burrito bowl. Definitely not the healthiest. Dinner was good though.....broiled teriyaki chicken, rice and steamed veggies.
Yesterday I did amazing on my food. Protein shake for breakfast and dinner.....chicken salad sandwich w/ baby spinach for lunch.....grapes and carrots for snacks.
| Ingredients of the shake. It tastes so much better now that I do 1 scoop protein mix and 1 scoop of the HerbaLife plus the banana! |

Love/Hate
I have a love/hate relationship with excercising. I hate doing it, but I always feel so much better afterwards which makes me love it. Well, maybe not love it but like it anyway. Once I get off track or don't work out for a couple of days then it takes me a while to get back in the groove. That's exactly what recently happened.
So, I was doing the bootcamp. Like I said before it was a good workout....made me sweat like crazy. The long drive started getting to me, plus the fact that it was suppose to be a 45 minute workout and they started turning into 30 minute workouts. What I'm trying to say is the last week I decided not to go :( I don't want to say that I gave up because I wasn't seeing any results (although in the back of my mind I wonder if that was it). Really though I think it was the drive and I now knew what I needed to do to work up that sweat so I thought I could do it on my own.
When Monday rolled around I put a circuit together and did it for 45 minutes. I was sweating just as much as I had at the boot camp! Success! Wednesday came upon us and I skipped out BUT we went on a 4-5 mile bike ride. Next is where I go downhill.....Thursday was my birthday and I got all of these birthday coupons for free meals or discounted meals in my emails. I don't like to cook so these were great! I took advantage of as many as I could which wasn't helping my waist! We got so busy in Derek's extracuricular activities and on projects around the house that I never made time for my workouts.
I measured myself last night and I was up an inch and a half on my waist, arms and legs! I was mortified! I went straight upstairs to the treadmill and knocked out a 20 minute run and about 10 minutes of strengthing exercises. I didn't want to do it at all, but was so glad that I did because I felt so much better. Almost immediately afterwards I had that energy that I'd been missing back. I feel a lot better this morning too. I remeasured myself and I was now 2 inches smaller than my orignial measurements in my waist and just 1/2 inch bigger in my arms and legs. Hopefully I was just bloated last night (I seem to always be) and then hopefully being bigger in my arms and legs is just muscle.
My plan for the next month is to get up every morning and go on a walk with the girls and then come back and do ab excercises (Mummy Tummy) and Jillian Michael's 30 Day shred workout. Then in the evenings I'll run/walk on the treadmill for an hour and do some strenghing/toning exercises. It's a lot, but it needs to be done if I ever want to see results. Hopefully I don't get burnt out by all of that.
As far as meals go, I think I'll try a meal replacement shake for breakfast and dinner and then have a big, healthy lunch with a couple healthy snacks in between.............probably not the best decison to do 2 meal replacement shakes a day.......if I start to feel really hungry I'll change it to one. It will only be for a month.
As I raise my *yummy* shake, I make a toast to a good month!
